My dad was a combat medic during the Korean War and Helped save the life of an Australian pilot that crashed near him while in route from from an aid station back to his unit at the front. He has written his account of the event and has always wondered about the fate of the Australian pilot. I was wondering if I could send you the story to see if you could post it to see if maybe someone knew of the event or had a relative that the story might sound familiar to. My dad spent 20 years in the Army and received the Bronze Star in Korea for actions during combat. He was part or the 24th infantry during that campaign. Thank you for taking the time to read this. We come a long line of service had a great uncle at Normandy two other uncles with Air Force service during the Korean War, grand father that was a Calvary Mule skinner and my self served 8 1/2 years in the Navy.. My dad is 90 years old and still wonders to this day what happened to that pilot.. I would love to let him know with your help.

My neighbor in Willagee is a Korean War veteran. He has to move because his rented retirement unit is being demolished. He has PTSD (I'm a retired psychologist) and could really do with some specialised help. There are some RSL villages around, but how does he apply to get in to one of those? He is deaf and can't use the phone easily. Each day he raises and lowers the village Australian Flag. Please email me at the above address or send a TEXT to 0417938516. Thank You Rebecca Winter

Good day. This is Jay from South Korea, completed military service at Republic of Korean Army, Reconnaissance battalion, 15th Infantry division 2012~2014, and have been transferred to Republic of Korea Reserve Force since 2014. I am writing you to ask whether there is an annual korean war veteran's memmorial gathering. Also if there is, where could I possibly be honoured to meet and appreciate Korean war veterans and participate in the ceremony? I've been always deeply appreciating how soldiers from all around the world fought for us and freedom. As I am staying in Sydney amd ANZAC day is coming up, I decided to appreciate veterans more actively and actually want to say thank you to them. I would really appreciate your help. Thank you Kind regards Jay

I am seeking information from Australian Korean War veterans who might be interested in adding their stories, comments to my blog boborrick.ca or boborrick.com. The first one concerns the Korean War and my serious attempts to educate people that there was a Korean War and that 21 countries took part with 16 of those countries being combatants - Australia being one such country. Sadly, too few in the world understand the worth of the Korean War and its legacy or that even know about it. Education from Korean War veterans of each of the 21 countries is a must and a simple route to that end. I await comments from Australian Korean War veterans. Thanks
